Wakfu was originally an MMO, set 1000 years before Dofus, another MMO. And it is not intended for children first and foremost, but older teens and young adults and up due to its content and origin. Im not sure what they're planning with the dubs of Wakfu, but if you watch the orignal animated series spin-off with subs you can find some things that simply makes it on the same level as most shounen anime. :)

also there is a legit hentai of wakfu like they made the hentai video,its pretty good....
I think its made in flash as well, wich in itself is kind of cool. If i would compare it to anything else, I'd compare it to the old Transformers. The difference is its origin and that people who played the games is obviously going to understand it better ;P
Seems more like a homage or a shout-out to me.
