Then you write "No confidence" on your ballot, and you've made your vote known, and done your civic duty properly. If you don't vote at all, you'll just be assumed to be lazy. "No confidence" is very different.
Too many people irresponsibly vote for whole parties that haven't done anything they approve of in decades, or vote for whomever they think will win, so they can feel like winners themselves. That is the very definition of a wasted vote.
