My bias is that I don't like getting bitten by mosquitos while I sleep in the summer, or bed bugs. The spiders and I are cool as long as they keep the webs out of the paths people walk. The top 10 inches below the ceiling are all theirs.
I'll admit, having that urban myth about people eating spiders in their sleep debunked also helped me sleep better.
