USA internet service IS terrible! Ranked 89th in the world.
Topping the list is South Korea, where typical internet service is 8x faster for 1/10th the cost.
Instead of properly competing, the cable companies divided up the USA into territories in which each company holds an total monopoly. If you wanted to deal with a different company, you'd literally have to move across the country.
S. Korean consumers in most areas have as many as 6 different companies working hard to EARN their business.
