he is a good boy but a bit poor I suppose
I don't believe in donations, usually the working hard people(like me) donate the money, and the rich people don't give a fuck. And after that you see the poor people instead to help their selves to live better wiith the money they spend it - those people don't work hard enough. And don't tell me that I am talking nonsense because I was volunteer for poor and also I was owe the bank lot of money and if I was able to return the money everyone can - there only one answer and it is to work hard.
You're talking nonsense.
You're talking IGNORANCE.
A typically wealthy person will donate a thousand times or more to charities than you will in your entire life. They are also the people who START and RUN charities.
You've done your little bit and that's great; a few thousand people like you combined can make a significant difference. ONE wealthy person can accomplish the same thing with the stroke of a pen, and they do. Who do you think started and ran the operation you volunteered with?
Let me tell you a little story. Some years back, a young girl from Africa was on the Oprah show. She'd been very successful fundraising for worthy causes back home, got a lot done. I honestly forget what that project was about, but her NEXT big goal, was to raise a million dollars to teach basic sex ed and provide feminine hygiene products to girls in poor African countries (which would prevent a lot of disease and infections, and is an area ignored by most big christian charities because menstruation is "dirty" and they think it will hurt their clean wholesome image. >.> ) As important as it is, most won't talk about it, so the need is going unmet and has become a serious problem.
Bill Clinton was also on the show (yes, THAT Bill) was so impressed, he pulled out his checkbook and wrote the teenager a check for $500,000 on the spot.
Do you understand why he didn't write a check for $1M? It was certainly within his means to do so.
If he wrote a check for $1M, or even $500,001, it becomes HIS accomplishment, something HE made happen, all with the stroke of a pen. He didn't want to do that. When she raises the $1M, it's going to be HER accomplishment, something SHE made happen, and Bill only rendered some assistance. He will steal none of the spotlight, nor take anything away from her achievement.
Now that is both very insightful, and a very classy move!
Hard to believe some people impeached him over a damn blowjob, isn't it. For all he's done, THAT'S what he's going to remain most famous for. >.>
