There's a two big dating websites in my country. In the 1st one you can meet every person(and people using photoshop there), and the other is for only beautiful people(they do selection).
But when I want to hit on some girl, I approach her and tell her everything I think about her. I've areally great self confidence, and those people who using these websites probably don't have enough confidence.

When I met my girl, I was saw her doing jogging. I asked her if I can join, and she agreed as long as I'll keep the pace. She didn't knew I'm train a lot, so after the jog we trade phone numbers and she wanted me to help her to loss some weight. And after few meetings we started dating.
So I beieve, it depends on the situation. And how the other person adore you from who you really are.
