ive only fapped to mlp about 3 times,and believe me,on those journeys through the fandom of MLP,the things i found,the things i saw,by no means should you ever wish for that future,just dont.
You know... I didn't get into it at all until I'd had a real bad day, trying unsuccessfully to convince government employees that they can't count the same imaginary money three times and call it my income (there's an old saying: "You cannot make someone understand something if their job depends on them not understanding it.")
I was absolutely fed up with dealing with stupid people's bullshit and lies!
So I tuned into MLP:FIM. People had been recommending it to me for a while. I was like a soothing balm on my frustrated soul! A wonderful escape from the shitty real world into one where nearly all people (though flawed, are basically good inside and eager to do the right thing (if not always on the first try; learning curves are fair to expect). I regret nothing, nor have I suddenly developed a need to dress up like a pastel horse, or fap to pony-porn (more of which exists than we probably want to think about). Did not become a "Broney" but did become a fan, for those days when you need to turn the shitty real world off for an hour or two.
So that's what sent me to MLP. You can decide for yourself if you want to check it out. Maybe you'll have similar reasons as I did and reap a similar benefit to your stress levels.
In general it's a very well-written show; not like some other's that feel like they've been dumbed down for an audience of children by writers that don't think much of kids in the first place. I hate those as much as most kids do.
