It's a dilemma every parent faces (presuming they're smart enough to think about it):
Do you prepare a child to survive in the world as it is, or indoctrinate him to believe in the world as you wish it was?
Either extreme is harmful to the child's future.
Probably I think the best answer is somewhere in the middle... That and teaching by example.
