A common joke formula, is to present a familiar or expected pattern, and then deviate very sharply from it.
There's a very odd comedian named Emo Phillips who has whole routines of nothing but that.
In this case, we are told the kid is not ready for his test tomorrow. The next thing he asks is for his demon friend to possess his teacher. We (the audience) assume this is a plan to help him pass the test... but no, he just wanted to see boobs.
Our expectations were set up and then something absurdly different from them happened instead.
