bullshit i leave in europe and this is bullshit ! ! ! !
why? look how London and Paris are growing
Ireland became fully green.
Look at Scandinavia's forests. I am amazed again how Pine trees are so primitive, they need at least 200ml per year to keep growing. And they not so much contribute to the environment: They're cheap wod for woodcraft and heating, beside that they do much damage than being helpful - or atleast in my country, after a bad storm they're fall down and make so much damage. They are also reproducing fast and they're "stealing" water from another plants around - it's because this kind of tree doesn't belong to the area I live but after you're plant them they're hard to get rid of.

And where did they get the satelite photos from 1900-2000?
Mankind came into space in 1957 (the fist soviet satellite), photography was invented much earlier. what's the problem?
Aircrafts and gas/hot air balloons - first aerial photo was taken in 1858 over Paris, France. Not for everything you've need satelite aerial photography only data. Cumpter take this data and turn it into virtualization maps - Like the GIF above.
