It's the atheists/ humanists and Muslims here in the USA that are doing their best to ban the religious icons associated with Yule, Xmas, and Channukah. To the best of my knowledge neither Jews or Sikhs (pictured in the toon) have objected to a decorated tree. If the cartoonist wants to make a point, he should at least make an effort to be accurate. As a pagan I have no objection to the fact that Christians co-opted our Yule tree. I do not find a nativity scene offensive since to me and my grove it is a symbol of rebirth and hope. The menorah heartens me because it's lights to me represent the returning warmth of the sun. Therefore I do not have any compunction wishing anyone a Merry Christmas or Happy Channuka since we all share the joy of the season. As for the atheists - Happy Go Fuck Yourselves!
How you see each symbol is your own problem: I have never seen anyone object to others celebrating something as innocuous as the holiday season, atheist or otherwise with the exeption of a few extreme cases. If they are real atheists they wouldn't even care about it. This hate speech of yours is really out of place...

The majority of atheists I know don't give a fuck about Christmas trees, they just associate with giving each other socks and move on.
