Typical school sports festivals have a "scavenger hunt" portion of an obstacle course, where the racers get to a table, turn over a paper, and have to find the thing mentioned on the paper (each racer looking for something different, as the papers are picked up at random). Whoever wrote this year's scavenger items papers is a naughty genius, because this girls' paper says "bloomers" (those very-short shorts the girls are wearing as part of their gym uniform).
There's also a word ahead of "Bloomer" that I'm having difficulty looking up. I presume it narrows the choice down, like "a competitor's bloomers" or similar.
