Or is this thing being marketed as a public pool safety device? In which case, I can only see it as being practical for a very small segment of disabled people. Generally if they're coordinated enough to find that switch, they can probably paddle to the surface. Even then they'd need to be able to keep their head above water once they reach the surface, unless they learn to breath through their right hand... and if they can tread water adequately... why do they need this device?
