Because once upon a time, it was cool to be a police officer. Then about the 70s when really charismatic black people started getting on TV and becoming really cool, that pissed off the cops so badly they've been shooting them at every opportunity every since.

(Fortunately we have smartphones and videos that can't be erased because they upload directly to the Cloud, so we're starting to catch them at it now.)

Don't make it sound like every cop is an asshole, clearly there are some police officers that are pretty great and nice at doing their job. The video proves it.
