That's the truth, people blame money just because they didn't own enough.
I know several very wealthy people. They're the nicest, most well-adjusted, happiest, most generous, and grounded folks you could imagine. They have happy marriages (90% of the time couple's fight, it's about money, so what if money didn't matter?) They raise great kids (as opposed to paying strangers to "raise" them while both parents work 12 hour shifts). Not a Bond villain in the bunch.
Money is not the most important thing in life... but in practical terms, you need to have a lot of it so you can focus on the more important things, like your spouse, your kids, charities you believe in, and so on.
