I agree with you, but i think the point here is parents just focus on their newest sons as material thing such latest model of iphone or cars.

That's a lot of big leaps to infer directly from this particular comic. I'm less sure THAT was the point the author was attempting to get across. Any chance your personal history is colouring your take on this one? (Feel free not to answer, of course).
Is just something i see with my how eyes, but not experienced by myself, my cousin's parents was similar to the one in this comic, after divorce every one of them get new sons from new partner and just left my cousin to him-self, i think the only reasons he don't "fall in the canyon" is for him paternal grandparents (at some point just the grandma, because the grandpa passed away)the only two that really take care of him trough all this story of the divorce.
