I've heard AMC Entertainment is considering allowing texting in their movie theaters, to appeal to millennials.
"When you tell a 22-year-old to 'Turn off the phone, don't ruin the movie,' they hear 'Please cut off your left arm above the elbow,'" Aron said.
"You can't tell a 22-year-old to turn off their cellphone. That's not how they live their life."
Well, that is precisely horseshit of course, though in our local theaters (not the same company) they HAVE started running little games in the pre-show before the trailers, that you can participate in with your smartphone. Not quite the same thing as permitting texting DURING the movie
