So I've just learned. An interesting example of parallel evolution. It's native only to Australia and a closer relative to possums than squirrels, despite being of similar size, colouration and appearance to the flying squirrels of North America and Europe.
...I suppose the real question then is "What continent was this gif filmed on?" if we want to know what that thing is.
