I have heard of "Flying Foxes" that are larger bats, though I don't think my own country has any bats larger than your hand.
Kind of a different reaction from the girly "IT'S IN MY HAIR! IT'S IN MY HAAIIR!" This one would be "IT KNOCKED MY 8-YEAR-OLD CHILD TO THE GROUND!" O_O
