I got tangential. :P
Comic's main point is valid though; that a clear majority of super hero movies are focused on male heros (self-titled standalones are easy to count up, and even group films usually don't have a plot centered around the female heroes).
My stance is a movie-goer is that the movie-MAKER's bias doesn't reflect my own; I'm equally happy to buy a ticket for a movie about superheroines as I am superheros. Gowan! Line them up! I'll be there with my ticket and bag of popcorn! ^_^

Not that I'd say no to another Deadpool, or a resolution to the hanging cliff that was Infinity War, but yeah, I'd wait for those and buy a ticket for WW2 before them if they were all playing at the same time. (Yes, I'm aware Marvel and DC are different film companies, but I have no brand loyalty whatsoever... nor is there any point in being so, as far as I can tell).
You know what, lemme stop being hypothetical and actually see what's up-and-coming from DC:
- Aquaman (2018)
- Shazam! (2019)
- Joker (2019)
- Wonder Woman 1984 (2019)
Oh thank God! DC ISN'T as completely up their ass as this comic might imply. Looks like they started the next WW movie almost as soon as the first one ended! More Gal Godot! ^_^
So yeah, I'll most likely go see ALL of those films, but I'll admit the next WW movie is the one I'm most intrigued by, and the one I wish would be coming sooner! I AM, unfortunately, aware of how long movies take to make, however, so I'll have to content myself that DC isn't dragging its feet on this one. :D
