...and yet people keep watching it.
I used to look after a patient who loved these shows (so I had to watch them with him for a bit) Pawn Stars is the one shown, IIRC, and also "Storage Wars" and "The Liquidator".
From my perspective, these shows star the most unlikable people I've every seen, as close to vultures as humans get, picking through trash, destroying nice people's hopes, and patting themselves on the back for getting high scores in the lowlife game (points measured in dollars, on-screen).
I'm ready for this "(un)reality TV" fad to die now.

A lot of the "reality TV" crap is pretty scripted but I can't even bring myself to watch it. I watch reruns from teh 70's and I'm happy with that. Oh and Gilligan's Island because ....Ginger and Mary Ann making a sandwich with me is still high on my bucket list when time travel becomes a thing.
