"Bush parties" were popular when I was in high school. Bonfire in the woods, bunch of mostly underage people; lots of booze.
It usually wasn't considered "a real party" until somebody fell in the fire. :P
Of course, Chris Tidus' beach party story trumps any of mine by a large margin.
