Pokemon is just a game. It has nothing to do against God, or there would be some obvious message in it. You are too dedicated to your god and not enough to your child. Adults have learned a lot more than children, which allows them to find evil in anything they want to, but children are ignorant and do not think in that way. Pokemon is a fun story about a young child who wants to achieve his dream of becoming the very best that he can. And it has nothing to do with enslavement (unless of course you think having pets are enslavement, then I do not know how to explain it to you), but like in our world, there are tame animals and wild animals. It is not Pokemon that is driving your child away, but you. Whether you can explain it to him several times, he is a child and will not understand the evil that you see lurking within it. Like everything else, you should give it a chance, then if you notice violent behavior towards animals or other people (caused by the game, not you), then you can confiscate it from him, or take it away for a limited amount of time. I don't think your god would appreciate you being so judge mental and not understanding the mind of a child-that they see the world differently than we do.
There are NOT corelations between Christianity and Pokemon. Period. A child/teen/young adult has a dream: to train his Pokemon up and be the best and most loving trainer in the world. He wants to learn to grow as a person and trainer and do so with utmost respect for his Pokemon and himself (or she and herself). Her/his Pokemon protect him/her from evil or sudden attacks and will do so by means of fighting (just like guard animals or police dogs do in real life). Is owning a pet and a pet protecting its owner from evil in real life or working dogs that protect their trainers/owners from evil in real life enslavement and abuse? I think not. In fact, it's the complete opposite.
THERE IS IN NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM THAT BATTLING POKEMON IS WORSHIPING THE DEVIL/SATAN!!!
Seeing as the only way you can promote training for your Pokemon (pets) in the game is through battling, that's the way it's done. You can't encourage training the real life way in the game as it's not real life.
This game, and Harry Potter, are FANTASIES. All the child needs is to explain that they're JUST fantasies and aren't real and that would be that. Deliberately keeping him from anything that's fun, relaxing and fantasy in nature isn't helping him, but harming him. You're the one that's driving the rift between yourself and him; not the games or the TV shows or the card games or the books. He will grow up hating you because you're not properly raising him. You are denying him something that's not evil but fun.
There is nothing wrong with having fun. There IS such a thing as reading too far into things and trying to deny a child something that's meant for nothing more than enjoyment.
I think it's YOU that needs the education, not the child.
I'm Christian. There's nothing wrong with any of these.

I fully agree with you@ but i think that the worst thing about this lady is that she doesdn't allow her son to see his friends because as she thinks they "watch pokemons and worship satan". I'm sure that's the very reason why we have so called Social anxiety disorder among the teenagers, who can't communicate and shoot at schools. I'm not an ateist but I'm think that theese religious bigots do much more harm than tv and the internet
