I know the artist but my memory is failing right now. I don't believe it's Michelangelo since his works are more about perfection and symmetry. The work reminds me of Caravaggio but the colors are not quite right. Ribera did St Paul as a hermit, and I think that is who is portrayed in the pictures but it doesn't look like his work either. Titian is usually more colorful. Ah crap....I'll be up half the night now trying to remember who this is.
