Had that happen twice at a place I worked at. My direct supervisor was involved in a traffic accident and he lost his left leg. He left on permanent disability. So I moved up the ladder. Almost a year later our project manager had a heart attack in his office, killed him dead. Shitty way to get ahead in business but I moved up. I got a raise with the first move but they wouldn't comp me on the second.
