No, they can still go bad in the plastic. :P
These are just oranges that got a bit bruised up during shipping, so they can't be sold at premium prices because they're visible "flawed". They're still perfectly edible though.
"Human beings will not accept imperfect food when perfect food is within reach". We waste enormous amounts of completely edible food every year just because it is slightly blemished.
