Naoko, you don't even need to ask, it's obvious. Firstly, Sirius is an animagus, who can transform into a dog at his will, not a werewolf, Remus Lupin is a werewolf. Secondly, prisoner of azkaban, in which Sirius first transforms into a dog was released in 1999, while new moon, where jacob first transforms was released in 2006. So unless your brain cells are damaged beyond repair from reading Twilight, you should be able to discern the fact that even if any copying has been done, it would be the other way around, Jacob based off Sirius. And as to why people like Harry Potter more is because they are sane. Harry Potter has a story(and that too an awesome one) while Twilight is.... well, i don't know how to put it without seeming rude. In Harry Potter, the characterization is so good, it shows how diverse the human ways are, while Twilight is... frankly put, dumb with no story.

Okay first off, New moon was published on the date of August 2, 2006, the Third Harry Potter book was published on the date of July 8, 1999 therefore before Breaking Dawn. second off Sirius Black is an animagus("An Animagus is a wizard who elects to turn into an animal."
