Possibly. The water looks more like lake water in the shallow part to me, though I could be wrong.

I live near some of the largest fresh water lakes in the world. There's several places you can't see the opposite shore. That's my frame of reference for a "lake".

I made a guess on three things that it was an ocean.
1.) How well the cake is floating even on the waves, saltwater is denser
2.) The waves near the cameraman, big lakes can get those too I guess though
3.) I thought the substrate looked like some of the beaches I saw in the north east which are more rocky and the sand is therefore a darker color and rougher as well.
