Every now and then, we have to move the furniture to see what we've lost that the cats have found.
One of my patients is an 80 year old man in a wheelchair. He has a little rubber toe-separator to keep his old toes pointed the right way in his shoe. Even though we set it down in the same spot on the dresser every night when he goes to bed, we keep losing them and having to buy more.
Last week, I moved his piano away from the wall. There they were. Five of them. His cat likes to play soccer with small objects on his hardwood floors. ...In the dark, apparently, because the only time these rubber toe-separators aren't between his toes is when he's in bed with the lights out.
