When did electronics start working underwater?
why not?
Try taking a bath with your microvawe (when it turned on of course)
If you'd graduate high school, you would say "Water is good conductor, so ordinary electronics wouldn't work there". But you didn't.
So I won't tell you how unusual electronics could operate under water. I just tell you: "Go to school, boy!"

So you're saying that after bathing with working microwave human being can survive?
yes, if microwave is isolated good enough. I should add "don't try this at home". But personally you can do it.
How do you think, are headphones in that picture isolated good enough?
1) here is a site with a lot of gadget waterproof tests -
http://gadgetstress.com/2011/07/i-travel-lm801-stress-test/
2) Headphones are MUCH simpler, than "phone or microvawe, or camera"
3) why don't you think, that this headphones doesn't have "protective case"? I don't see any metal conductive part on picture

I don't see protective case neither.
Samsung galaxy ace- display turned off after 100 cm submersion
Iphone 4s- works only with battery charger plugged in after the same procedure
Sony Ericsson Cedar – didn’t turn on after submersion
Thanks for the site by the way

you'd asked me for some gadget - here is i-Travel LM801. It can be underwater for a long time.
About protective case - as we had already seen, you're not professional to detect if there is protective case or not. So it could be there.
So, please, don't waste my time. Start studying yourself. You can start by reading this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_Code and finding electrical devices with IP 67-68

i-Travel LM801 has been developed and designed for situations like this one.
Word "could" shows that you not sure about protective case either, even if you're positioning yourself as a professional.
But yep, let's finish our argument
