I think I read about this some years ago (2011?). In Sweden, a beautiful white moose was discovered, and being so rare, all the local hunters mutually agreed to leave him alive, maybe hoping he'd pass down his genes. They named him Albin.
However, a Danish hunter (Ole Frost) who hadn't heard anything about this agreement, shot and killed Albin... and the Swedes were so furious about it it looked like they were going to have another war for a while...
