I always wantd to know why female mantisdo this. are their partners soo bad at sex? lol

there are several reasons for this. most logical (for me) is that female mantis needs food/energy/protein right after sex (maybe to help embryos inside her grow faster) and the nearest source of protein is her mate. but really mantis' cannibalism doesn't happen very often.

See, now I've read that the male mantis cannot ejaculate while its head is still attached.
