If you want to see the really deep snowfalls, visit the coastal provinces. All that moisture from the ocean in the air lends to heavy precipitation. Yeah, winter's @#$%ing cold everywhere else in the country too, but if you're in an area that gets a modest amount of rain, you get a modest amount of snow.
