You just need to learn how to not give a shit. Once you stop giving a shit their words won't ever affect you again, if you are getting way to fed up with their stupidity you can just go play single player for a while until their bullshit fades away from your brain.
That's what I've done until now, online I have the power to ignore them, but offline they can physically hurt me. Like what happened to me today (which doesn't happen commonly, today was just one of those shitty days), a random stranger punched me in the neck, trying to knock me out, for no reason at all, he failed because his technique is shit, but it left an emotional shock, just thinking that people like that exist, and this shock will be here for probably some days, now I have to wait until that bullshit leaves my head.
Sometimes shit like that happens, but you can't let that put you down because that's what they want, to put you down, lower your head so that they can feel superior. You can't let that happen, you're a fighter!

I must write some thing alike good as your, but you already say goodest words, i can just say you are right, i suffer bully in 14 years in school, i can't give shit to online haters now. they don't deserve any our attenction.
Bullying is fucked up and I've been there. I got depressed and it took a lot to get out of depression, so my advice is: control your feelings and don't get depressed, do everything you can to not fall into that hole. Once you give in to depression it is extremely hard to find a way out;
Don't try to get other people to make you happy, you need to accept yourself and find happiness within yourself (I know it sounds cheesy and you probably heard it many times, but that's how it works, that's how I got out.);
Change lifestyle to fit your personality. Being comfortable is a depression-prone person's number one priority.
Depression is an horrible feeling, you might not even know that you are depressed. But once you get out you'll remember how different your life was because of your depression, you will be able to look at other people and almost smell their depression, that gives you the power to help them and possibly save their lives.
