I always wonder how do artist create these paintings. Is it imagination, an army story they heard from a warrior, or were they in the war and paint what they remember?
Generally it was a wealthy lord or similar aristocrat, who as a patron, paid an artist to depict their military victories, to put up on the walls of the mansions or palaces.
