Octopus are smart, maybe it was trained. Makes for a darn good photo.
They ARE intelligent problem solvers. However just because they're smart doesn't mean it's going to agree with you on what is and isn't edible. Nor can we really communicate with them, even on the level we communicate with a dog.
I'd believe it could unwrap this girl's string bikini on it's own (that's very much within their kind of problem-solving skillets) but I'm still not going to put anything I value in its mouth and trust that it won't bite down.

That's why I say "maybe it was trained". you can train a dog (which have an arguably lower intelligence) not to eat their favorite food even if you stick it in their mouth until you say a command, you can train a damn cockroach even (the ones in movies) to a certain extent, so why couldn't the octopus be trained?
Though I certainly wouldn't want to be in this position it doesn't mean people couldn't be to a large degree of safety.
