I'd rather avoid that jump in the cloud on his place. Probably it's stupid, but I scared even by idea, that lightning can potentially go through me. I would be positively charged in that case though.

If it were a thunderstorm, they wouldn't have launched the plane. Pretty sure the worst you can expect here is to get very wet and cold. Clouds are water, after all.
