why everyone faps on a game boy?

Mine wasn't poor, and my parents wouldn't buy me one anyway. They drank aaaall the Koolaid at the "video games rot children's brains" party. >_>
I had to buy my own original Nintendo, long years after its release, and it was quite a fight when I brought it home.
Never got around to a Gameboy (seemed to me like playing on a much larger screen and in colour was vastly better). I suppose my parents at least got their wish in that I never became one of those kids who was OUTSIDE and playing video games.
