i make milkshakes at home and they're pretty good (no, i'm not that type of person that denies the existance of fast food restaurants and tries to make everything (burgers, cola, ice cream) by himself)

If it eases your mind any, the chilled environment of a milkshake is pretty far from the internal body temperatures they're designed to survive in. They're probably all dead by the time they got through the straw.
