You charisma is your force of personality and how easily you can influence other people by word or action (or use magic with the force of your personality).
Appearance is how beautiful a character is to his own race, how he smells, dresses and looks like.

Ugly people can be very persuasive/charismatic, and beautiful people could have the personality of a twig.

Charisma does not always go for looks you good be super hot with 8 cha and just have a nasty personalty.
