That's actually more to do with why she fell than anything that would have helped her pull that off.
There's enough relative mass in her leg that such a big swinging motion lifted enough weight off her standing foot that it no longer had enough pressure to keep a firm position on the ground.
Or shorter and simpler; when her weight shifts up, her standing foot slips.
