You get exposed to a lot of tools but you still have to learn how to use thew.

When you arc in Art School, It's not always clear where you are supposed to go and what you are meant to do. It's a little like life that way.
Teachers are there to help you along the way.
They will try to guide you. Sometimes you won't understand what they are telling you though.,PascalCampion
G-reat teachers will help you develop both as a human being and as an Artist.
(These two things usually go together.)
You are going to be exposed to a LOT of stuff. It's meant to open your brain to different possibilities. It's amazing but can also make you lose you sense of Identity for awhile.
When you get out of school, you will gradually forget most of what you've been exposed to.
What remains is what made an impact.
Art Schools are meant to be, in my opinion, a personal growth experience as well as a skill set development one.
It's not necessarily good for everybody and ONLY works
