Wait, can you even do that? Superman gets his powers from the yellow sun, so in theory, if he leaves the system, wouldn't he lose his powers?

In time yes, but superman can fly pretty fast, so there is no problem for him yo get to another yellow sun(star) to re-charge himself.

And as for red suns (stars). Well, you can avoid them. U HAVE DAMN SUPERVISION.
