there is nothing free. canadians pay taxes for their "free" healthcare
But if your income is low enough, and you're self-employed and can make enough valid deductions, you don't actually pay much income tax... if any. So yeah, if you're poor enough; FREE.
And even if you're not poor, what you pay in taxes is MUCH less than any significant medical procedure.
