Never I have used the system we use all my life would b to confusing to swich nowthat and all the money we do t have to replace all the signs and such
I live in the united states and I agree that we should use the metric system. I even wrote my local senator about it and how it can be done. I suggested instead of switching over all at once we do a 12 year program. You start with 1st grade then next year we do 1st and 2nd grade and so on until you teaching it to all grades. I just got a response back saying thanks for writing the letter and they will take it under advisement and blah blah blah they didn't care.
The problem isn't just teaching a new generation there is the rest of the people who grew up with out it like my pap who is 92 he would b screwed even with a 12 year admitable he might not last that long but the point is that it would b a huge ajust ment and costly to swich every thing over there was a local hospital that recently changed its nane it took about 5 years because of all the old back stock letter head and stuff like that they had to get rid of and in the end they cancelled the name change and another example is the town I live in up until 2000 was called barnsbaro/spangler cause the town lines where intermingled they changed the name to northern cambria and people to this day still use barnsbaro and spangler heck the electric company don't even recognize the change was a bitch to get electirc until we figured out they still had it in there record as the old name sorry got off on a tangent there
I am not saying a swich wouldn't b good but it would b very costly and would b a huge ajustment for any one not being brought up on the metric system

I wish all the world would switch over to one system... whether metric or imperial, whether left hand drive or right hand drive cars. Even power sockets... GOD I hate it, every continent in the world has its own power socket, I'm a frequent traveler and I get furious when my laptop/mobile chargers dont fit anywhere in a country.
I saw a video on youtube that had a surge protector on it in the background it had diff style plugs for the placeone hexagonal the other circler
They sure do need to know that.
